A Few Finishes…

I’ve not been on here for a while!  Although I didn’t do very much sewing over the festive season I have plenty going on now!

Firstly I finished my quilt for the Midnight Mystery QAL with Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs.

This was a year long quilt~a~long which finished in March.  The difficulty with a ‘mystery’ quilt~a~long is not knowing how your fabric choices will work out!  I’m a little disappointed that my centre star isn’t more prominent, but overall I’m really pleased with how it turned out.

I pieced the back and then sent it out to be long arm quilted as I was a little apprehensive with getting a quilt that size through my little machine!  It’s the first time I’ve done that and I’m very pleased I did, I will definitely be doing it again!

I used one of my lovely labels on this quilt as well!

Quilt Stats:
Fabric – Cottage Garden collection by Riley Blake
Size – Approx. 67″ square

My second finish was another Mini from my ‘Mini Of The Month Club’ hosted by Sew Hot.  I’ve still got quite a few to catch up on but I’m loving how the are turning out so far.

I will endeavour to keep you more regularly updated here but in the mean time you can always catch me on my Instagram feed!

Next time I’ll update you on the new quilt~a~longs I am currently part of and plan on joining this year.  You can never have too many WIP’s can you!

Have a great weekend all.

  1. Your mystery quilt is fabulous! I really like that the central star isn't super-obvious – your eye moves around it more. The colours are brilliant. Great quilt!
