This morning I have completed part four of the Irish Chain Twist Quilt-a-long which is being hosted by Melissa at Happy Quilting, this week’s task was entitled “Twists On Tradition Units“.
We started putting together the larger strips we had cut at the beginning. I love how these look…
… note my posit notes to make sure I know which size is which!
We then cut these into our little blocks…
… They took no time at all to do. I did panic at one point though as one of the end blocks I cut didn’t quite measure up! It came out just over 2.5″ instead 3″. I wasn’t too sure how I managed that but as it turns out I ended up with two blocks too many anyway, I don’t know how I did that either but it’s probably better to have too many blocks than not enough!!
Can’t wait for next week’s task :0)

Gotta love that strip piecing gives you extra's so you always have a little wiggle room 😉 Great job getting them all done, and smart move on the post-its to keep it all straight 😉
